You Can Live Better for Less

I love the name of your blog, “Live Better for Less Money”.  I always thought that if you ‘pinched pennies’ that life would not be better - only more restricted and boring!

Well, just recently our family proved that to be wrong.  (Of course, now I’m wishing I would have given this a try much earlier in our family life).

Due to financial reasons, my husband said no more dining out (except for those fun occasions on the weekend!).  I thought this would be the end of fun as I know it;  as I’m not a cook and it was so much easier for me to grab something fast.

It did take some getting used to, but, my kids actually enjoy eating at home, rather than going and getting something fast to eat.  I don’t mind it either, especially, if I’ve done a thorough job of shopping and have everything at home that we need.

The thing that really surprised me though was how much we are saving and how much we can now spend (or save) on other items. (Obviously,I was surprised because I was not keeping close tabs on how much we actually spent each day on fast food!)

This has really freed us up for bigger and better things.  So, it does go to show that you can ‘Live Better for Less Money’.

I’d encourage your readers to think of something that they could perhaps ‘give up’ for a month or two and do this experiment themselves.  Budgets don’t always have to be restrictive, they can actually help your family to enjoy life and ‘live better for less money’.
