Get Your RN Degree (Nursing Career Ladders)

In order to have enough RNs the Nursing Career Ladder was established. Health and Hospitals Corporation employees can enter an RN training program. You must be at least 17 years old and have a high school or GED diploma. Your income must be below 130% of poverty ($22,321 for a family of 3), although 30% of the available sears are available to HHC staff without regard to income. You receive full tuition and support services. For the RN program, your first two years, participants take coursework required for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and any accredited college. Then you transfer to the HHC/Long Island University Nursing School to complete the final two years.
