$30,000 Incentives to Become a Teacher

The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation offers about 33 national Leonore Annenberg Teaching Fellowships a year, with $30,000 stipends, for students to attend graduate education programs at Stanford, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Virginia and the University of Washington. As another part of the program, other states' universities will receive fellowships to help entice students into top teaching positions. For example, universities in Indiana will receive up to 20 fellowships each and will focus their efforts on math and science teachers in an attempt to make education priority.
